Elections have begun for the 2012-2013 SWE-OC year! But that does not mean it’s too late to volunteer. If you have been thinking about becoming involved, now is the time to do it. We are looking for help with organizing local outreach events, planning dinner meetings, networking lunches and socials, and fundraising for the section. Improve your leadership skills, work with wonderful ladies (and guys), and expand your resume with SWE-OC. This year’s conference was co-hosted with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and was a great success! Only two months remain for the 2011-2012 year, but these two months bring many exciting events. Teach Girl Scouts about space shuttles, walk your dog in support of Huntington’s Disease, and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Frito Lay Factory.
